During our Italian travel, we spent some time at home, in our village on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, enjoying the company of friends and some quiet moments.

I used to spend some time sitting by the window, enjoying the beautiful view of the valley, the fields and the hills, with the delicate changes of colors during the day.

From the Window was born from this: some quiet time with nothing to think about, just peacefull exhisting and watching the nature living

The pendant is made of silver, oxidized silver and copper, using different techniques and several layers of the two metals. It is the second piece of the Layers of Nostalgia collection, made last autumn with the first batch of pendants. It is dated  "October 2020". To allow the shape to stand our we have set the pendant in a hidden structure at the back.

It comes with its handmade chain and an oxidized s-shaped elegant clasp.

We use recycled silver as much as we can to reduce the environmental impact of our work and for ethical reasons. Recycled silver has the same characteristics and value of mined silver, but it is obtained from old jewelry or silverware. From our perspective, it adds value to the jewelry we create.

Important: you may polish the piece with a conventional silverware cloth, avoiding to rub the darker parts

Crafted by the Maltese shores, with the heart in the Italian mountains 

JAD is the creation of Gioia and Ivano, based between Malta and Italy.

Gioia, a psychotherapist with a background in fine art, became a goldsmith in 2007. Ivano, a master stone setter and goldsmith, comes from a family of artists and artisans. We met in Italy, where we opened our first shared workshop in 2011.

Born in 2015 when we moved to Malta, JAD is both an artistic partnership and a small, artisanal jewelry brand nestled on the island of Gozo."
