A wide, oxidized silver band with a beautiful raw surface, inspired by natural materials, this beautiful new Black Rust Band is the last addition to our permanent RUST & Co. collection.
As for all our pieces it is totally handmade in our artisan workshop, from melting the silver to the very last finishing. Its surface has an irregular, not catching, rust-like finishing. Being raw and edgy is a characteristic of this ring but it is accurately finished to allow a perfect wearability.
It is a solid ring, comfortable to wear, that will become more expressive with time, remaining darker in the nooks, when the oxidation will gradually wear off leaving visible the beautiful, raw surface of silver.
The ring is made of sterling 925 silver and its beautiful, dark color is obtained by oxidizing the silver with a traditional, natural process. The darkness will naturally wear off on the edges with the use, living the dark in the recesses. Should you want it all black again you can either send it back to us or ask a local goldsmith to oxidize it for you at a reasonable cost.
Being completely handmade, each piece has its unique, small differences and is made to last for a long time.
We use recycled silver as much as we can, to reduce the environmental impact of our work and for ethical reasons. Recycled silver has exactly the same characteristics and value of mined silver but it is obtained from old jewelry or silverware. From our personal point of view, it adds value to the jewelry we make.
Important: band or wide rings fit less than other rings. If you order the ring in your usual ring size, we will add appropriate room, proportionally to the band dimensions.
